Story - Father and Son
Father and son went to a temple. Suddenly, the son shouted after seeing the pillars of lions at the entrance of the temple, “Run dad, or those lions will eat us”. Dad consoled him saying, “They are just statues. They won’t harm us”. Son replied, “If those lion statues won’t harm us then how could statues of god give us blessings?” Father was stunned at this question. (- Forwarded message)
After a while the father replied, “The blessings or the fear – both are in our beliefs and not in the statues, my dear. You wanted to run away believing that the lion statues can kill you. I come to god statues believing that they will help me deal with my problems. I choose to believe only in those beliefs that make me feel better and stronger”.
